Gerard Deulofeu described Pablo Fornals’ scorpion kick goal for West Ham United as ‘crazy’ on his Instagram story after David Moyes’ side thrashed Bournemouth 4-0 on Sunday.

From Olivier Giroud to Henrikh Mkhitaryan, only a select few have scored scorpion kick goals in the Premier League and Pablo Fornals can add his name to that list now.

The 27-year-old, who hadn’t scored a Premier League goal for West Ham since August, ended that drought in some fashion, which left his fellow countryman and former Everton winger, Gerard Deulofeu, impressed because he wrote the following message on his IG story.

“How crazy is this, doctor,” wrote Deulofeu.

WEST HAM STARTING TO MOTOR

After spending big during the summer, David Moyes’ side have struggled from their previous European finishes, which has seen the Scotman’s future come under doubt.

But, just at the right time, with the Hammers pushing for the Europa Conference League, they are starting to motor.

Even though they had to see past an all-action Gent side on Thursday night in Europe, they were able to breeze past an in-form Bournemouth team that they are battling relegation alongside.

That puts West Ham 13th in the table on 34 points, six clear of 18th-placed Everton, who were down to ten men at the weekend, but they still managed to secure a draw at Crystal Palace.

Many think West Ham have done their job and it’s probably just a case of getting one more win.

But their recent results in the league, after getting smashed by Newcastle United, will now allow them to concentrate on Europe that little bit more and trying to push for that much-needed trophy.
