The Everton winger is in Milan to fulfil a move to the San Siro.
Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu has arrived in Milan to complete his loan move to AC Milan. The Spaniard was recorded arriving at Malpensa airport and even stopped to speak to Sky Sports Italia briefly before heading off to complete his move.
The wing wizard spoke of his desire to join such a big club, and also of playing with a former Liverpool star again:
“I am very happy to be here. Why Milan? It is a great club. I am very happy to meet again and Suso and (Carlos) Bacca.”
Gerard Deulofeu scores the second goal for Everton
Suso, who spent five years on the red side of Merseyside, has come through the Spanish youth ranks with the Everton star. In fact, the pair were both part of the Spain side who won the under-19 European Championships in 2012. Of course, they will also be rivalling each other for first-team football with the Rossoneri.
He also played with the Colombian striker Bacca during his time on loan at Sevilla.
Everton’s Gerard Deulofeu
Deulofeu is clearly a promising talent but he has failed to deliver for Everton this season. He has struggled to settle into Ronald Koeman’s style of play and has put in some poor performances for the Toffees this season.
Hopefully this will not be the end of Deulofeu’s Everton career, but a kick-start to it, rather than the beginning of a permanent Everton exit.
