Ronald Koeman’s side took the lead after just five minutes when Ross Barkley scored from a free kick.
Tottenham restored parity just before the hour mark through Argentina international attacker Erik Lamela.

Deulofeu, who is 22 years of age, started the match and played for 68 minutes. The former Barcelona winger has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the final result.
Mason Holgate has also taken to Twitter, expressing his delight at making his debut in the Premier League.
The 19-year-old, who can play as a centre-back or as a full-back, joined Everton from Championship club Barnsley in the summer transfer window.
The youngster started the game against Tottenham at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon and played for the entire 90 minutes.
