Like Van Aken, Sibon also played for both Sheffield Wednesday and Heerenveen.

Former Sheffield Wednesday striker Gerald Sibon given his verdict on Owls new boy Joost van Aken.
Van Aken moved to Hillsborough earlier this week from another of Sibon’s old clubs, Heerenveen, in a deal which could be worth £4 million.

The 23-year-old’s name was a new one on the majority of Wednesday supporters, some of whom got in touch with Sibon to fill the gaps in their knowledge.
Replying to one on Twitter, the now-retired Dutchman said:
Van Aken is the second centre-back Wednesday signed during the summer transfer window, after Vitoria Setubal captain Frederico Venancio.
But despite also having Owls skipper Glenn Loovens for company, it is the former Netherlands Under-21 international who is expected to partner Tom Lees at the heart of Carlos Carvalhal’s defence.

Derby County midfielder Jacob Butterfield and Burnley winger George Boyd are the other two summer recruits at Hillsborough.
Sibon, who ended his career with Heerenveen five years ago, aged 38, was recently awarded his UEFA A coaching licence.
