Everton, Southampton, Napoli and AS Roma are all reportedly interested in signing Newcastle United’s Georginio Wijnaldum in the summer transfer window.

The agent of Newcastle United midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has told The Chronicle that there has been no progress in talks with AS Roma.
According to The Chronicle, Italian club Roma are interested in signing Wijnaldum from Newcastle in the summer transfer window.
La Gazzetta dello Sport recently reported of Serie A outfit Napoli’s interest in the Netherlands international mifielder.
The Mirror claimed earlier this month that Premier League duo Everton and Southampton are monitoring the former PSV star.

Wijnaldum’s agent has virtually confirmed Roma’s interest in the Newcastle midfielder, but he has claimed that there has been no progress in negotiations.
“There has been no progress in negotiations,” Humphrey Nijman told The Chronicle regarding Wijnaldum’s proposed move to Roma. “There is no new news.”

Wijnaldum joined Newcastle from Dutch giants PSV in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport at the time to be worth £14.5 million.
The 25-year-old Dutchman did not have a great season in 2015-16 and was inconsistent, but he did showcase his quality and talent on a number of occasions.
The former Feyenoord star scored 11 goals and created 48 chances in 38 Premier League appearances for the Magpies during the 2015-16 campaign.
