Wijnaldum has featured in every league game since his arrival from Newcastle.

Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has told the club’s official website that manager Jurgen Klopp has told him to be free in his midfield role.
The Dutchman also explained that his role does depend a lot on what his teammates are doing in the side – depending on which players like to commit themselves forward.
Wijnaldum told the club’s official website: “He doesn’t really give a lot of jobs to players. He tells me to be free and play how I can play. But sometimes it is different.

“It depends on what the other players are doing. You have to look at the other players. For example, if Lallana goes forward and Henderson also goes, I have to stay.
“Sometimes I have to get used to it because, normally, I’m the one who goes all the time. Now, I have to also look at the other players.
“That’s the thing that has changed the most in my way of football – that I have to look more at the other players.”
Wijnaldum has yet to find the net for the Reds this season, though has stated he would like to get off the mark as quickly as possible, but the presence he provides were integral to the side’s wins over Leicester City and Chelsea in particular this month.

He seems to have developed an effective combination with Adam Lallana – who seems to be impressing in the final third more and more – and Jordan Henderson who is occupying a deeper role for the side this season.
Wijnaldum himself has licence to get beyond the line of the opposition defence and into their penalty area to give the Reds another attacking option.
Some eyebrows were raised when Liverpool were paid to pay big money for a player who had been part of a side that was relegated to the Championship but his start to life at Anfield has been pretty solid, and in the same interview he suggested there was more to come from him.
