Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has suggested that fans can expect more from his teammate Fabinho, as quoted in The Independent.

Fabinho has been playing well for Liverpool in recent weeks and has established himself as an important player in Jurgen Klopp’s team.

According to WhoScored, the 25-year-old defensive midfielder has made six starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League and has played 110 minutes of Champions League football for the Reds so far this season.

Liverpool midfielder Wijnaldum, 28, believes that the Anfield faithful have yet to see the best of Brazil international Fabinho – who earns £100,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com.

The Independent quotes Wijnaldum as saying about Fabinho: “I think he can do even better – I think all of us can do even better.

“It’s always difficult if you play for another team that didn’t play the way we play, so when you come here you have to settle in.

“That’s not always easy and I think he did it quite well. Step by step he learned more about the way of playing.”

Exciting for Liverpool fans

Fabinho made a slow start to life as a Liverpool player following his move from AS Monaco in the summer transfer window.

The Brazil international, though, is showing the kind of form that he had when he was at Monaco, and Wijnaldum’s aforementioned comments should excite the Liverpool fans.

With Liverpool challenging for the Premier League and competing in the Champions League, Fabinho will be an important player for Jurgen Klopp’s side as the season progresses.
