The Tottenham Hotspur winger has barely featured but could he still write his name into the club’s folklore?

Tottenham Hotspur fought so hard to sign Georges-Kevin N’Koudou last summer that his subsequent struggles have been somewhat surprising.
The 22-year-old arrived at White Hart Lane from Marseille but he has managed only six Premier League appearances, and 15 in all competitions, since then.
Used predominantly as a late substitute, N’Koudou has only had brief opportunities to prove his worth, yet that does not mean he could not still be an unexpected hero before the end of the current campaign.
Tottenham are fighting hard at the top of the table, four points behind league leaders Chelsea with four matches remaining, and while the Blues are in the box seat Spurs show no sign of slipping up.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are likely to fight tooth and nail until it is mathematically impossible to catch Antonio Conte’s men, but with tough matches against West Ham United, Manchester United and Leicester City on the horizon, N’Koudou could still be needed if his side is desperate for a goal with time running out.

There have been some unlikely saviours in previous title races, not least Federico Macheda, whose late goal gave United a 3-2 victory against Aston Villa that ultimately inspired a title triumph.
So just because N’Koudou has been used sparingly, it does not mean he should be written off as a potential Tottenham saviour in the coming weeks.
