Tottenham Hotspur have sent Georges-Kevin Nkoudou out on loan to Burnley.
Tottenham Hotspur have today confirmed that winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou has joined Premier League rivals Burnley on loan until the end of the season.
A 2016 signing from Marseille, Nkoudou was seen as an exciting signing having hit nine goals and five assists in his one season at the Stade Velodrome.
After a lengthy transfer saga to bring him to North London, Nkoudou hasn’t really lived up to expectations, and has yet to even start a Premier League game for Spurs.
With just one start to his name in any competition this season, Nkoudou has remained a bit-part player under Mauricio Pochettino this season, and he is finally heading out to play games.
Burnley today confirmed that they have landed Nkoudou on loan, with the 22-year-old heading to Turf Moor for the rest of the season to play first-team football under Sean Dyche.
Having lost Robbie Brady for the rest of the season through injury, Burnley needed another wide man, and Nkoudou will now compete with the likes of Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Scott Arfield.
After completing his move, Nkoudou posted a photo on Twitter of himself posing with a Burnley shirt for the first time, celebrating his ‘new home’ in East Lancashire.
Nkoudou also joked about Sean Dyche’s reaction to his arrival, and vowed to help the Clarets as much as he can in the second half of the campaign.
