Georges-Kevin Nkoudou says he isn’t surprise by the physicality of English football.
Tottenham Hotspur winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou has told the club’s official website that he isn’t surprised by the physicality of Premier League football.
Nkoudou, 21, impressed with Marseille last season, hitting nine goals and five assists following a move from Ligue 1 rivals Nantes, and his performances earned him a move to Spurs.

His protracted move to White Hart Lane was finally completed on deadline day in August after a summer-long transfer saga, and Spurs fans are now seeing the Frenchman settle into life in North London.
The winger has played just 12 minutes in the Premier League and has started just once for Spurs, in last week’s EFL Cup tie at Liverpool, but has flashed ability in his limited time on the pitch.
Tonight, Nkoudou is in contention to play in the crucial Champions League game against Bayer Leverkusen at Wembley Stadium, and has been discussing his start to life at White Hart Lane.

Speaking to the club’s official website ahead of tonight’s game, Nkoudou admitted that he wasn’t surprised by the physical nature of Saturday’s game against Leicester City, as he has prepared himself for a more intense game than in France.
Nkoudou added that he wasn’t happy with his own performance against Liverpool last week, but was happy to play against such a good team, and hopes to improve his performance in the near future.

“I wasn’t really surprised by the physicality of it – I’d prepared myself for that,” said Nkoudou. “I just wanted to make sure I was warmed-up to come onto the pitch and make an impact. Certainly the Premier League is a more intense and physical game than the French league but I’m enjoying playing in it.”
“I’ve worked really hard to get to play on the pitch, although I wasn’t particularly happy with my own performance in the Liverpool game. It was good to play against Liverpool because they are another big team but it’s something that I can improve on for future games,” he added.
