Tottenham Hotspur winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou has been speaking to the press in France this week about his difficult first season in North London.
The winger arrived from Marseille in the summer after a protracted transfer saga between Spurs and his former club. He has since struggled to have a major impact at the club and not many Tottenham fans are convinced he has what it takes to be a major player at Spurs.
Talking to L’Equipe this week he admitted he was taken aback by the work-rate of his new team-mates when he first arrived, especially striker Harry Kane.
He stated:
“As soon as you arrive, you realize one thing: they are starving people, guys!
“Everyone is focused on work. From morning in the gym until the evening for treatment.
“I’ll take an example: Harry Kane. You understand right away why he’s one of the top scorers in England. He arrives every day first in the center. And he’s doing shots, free kicks. Again and again. I call him the ‘Sniper’ he is incredible.”

There is no doubt that Kane’s practice has paid off. He has scored 27 goals in 36 games this season, despite having two significant ankle injuries.
The ‘sniper’ nickname is certainly fitting considering his impressive accuracy when shooting at goal, especially from range.

The young French under-21 international has a lot to learn if he is to ever emulate the standard of Kane at Tottenham. He has played just 15 times this season and has failed to score in his first campaign.
Hopefully after a full pre-season with the Tottenham team he can prove himself worthy of a place in Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team plans.
