Spurs finished second in the Premier League last season and were given automatic entry to the group stage of Europe’s premier club competition for the 2017-18 campaign.

The North London outfit failed to progress to the knockout rounds of the Champions League last season.

Could something similar happen this time around? Tottenham have been handed a tough draw and have been pitted in probably the hardest group.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side will take on Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and APOEL in Group H.

While Spurs fans will expect the team to get maximum points from their two games against APOEL, even drawing against Madrid and Dortmund will be tough.

After all, Zinedine Zidane’s side have won the Champions League for the past two seasons and have arguably the best squad in Europe.

As for Dortmund, the German club have a very talented bunch of players and have been regulars in the Champions League for quite a few years now.

While everyone can understand that progressing from Group H will be tough, one particular Spurs played has been forced to explain himself on social networking site Twitter.

Not all Tottenham fans understood 22-year-old winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou’s point when he reacted to the draw on Twitter.

The £9 million 2016 summer signing from Marseille – as reported by BBC Sport – has been forced to explain himself on the social networking site.

Meanwhile, a number of other Spurs players have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the draw, with former Tottenham midfielder Micky Hazard also commenting on the social networking site.
