Georges-Kevin NKoudou has taken to Twitter to congratulate Tottenham teammate Eric Dier after the Spurs midfielder spared England’s blushes in their World Cup qualifier with Slovakia.
On a potentially crucial night for Gareth Southgate’s men, Dier came back into the side after serving a suspension for the underwhelming victory over Malta at the weekend.

The game did not start well for England however, as Stanislav Lobotka took advantage of some sloppy play from Marcus Rashford and a poor run from Kyle Walker to find the back of the net inside the first three minutes.
Southgate’s men had to wait until eight minutes before half-time to equalise as Dier’s run to the near post at a corner presented him with an opening and he managed to side-foot the ball into the roof of the net.

The first-half left England supporters with little to smile about, but the goal did of course ensure that they went into the break level – which was perhaps more than they deserved.
And in the wake of the goal, NKoudou did take to social media to express his delight for his Spurs teammate…
