Tottenham Hotspur star Christian Eriksen is one of the best and most creative midfielders in the Premier League.
Eriksen has steadily improved at Tottenham and is now, without doubt, one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe.
The Denmark international has scored seven goals and created 92 chances in 31 Premier League appearances for Spurs so far this season.
During the 2015-16 campaign, the former Ajax star scored six goals and created 114 chances in 35 league games for Tottenham.
Eriksen may be only 25 years of age, but the Dane seems to be inspiring professional footballers older than him.
George Maluleka, who is 28 years old, plays for South African football club Kaizer Chiefs.
The South Africa international midfielder has revealed that he models his game on Eriksen and Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta.
“I’d say I’ve modelled my style according to how Iniesta of Barcelona plays,” Maluleka told KickOff earlier this month. ”I’ve closely watched Eriksen as well, a player with very good technical ability.
“I trained with Eriksen at Ajax Amsterdam. He doesn’t run a lot but his passing and movement sets him apart.”
It will be interesting to see what happens regarding Eriksen’s future in the summer transfer window.
According to a recent report in The Mirror, Spanish and European giants Barcelona are interested in signing the Tottenham midfielder in the summer.
