Sunderland won against Plymouth Argyle in League One on Saturday.

Sunderland midfielder George Honeyman has taken to Twitter to send a message to the fans after the win against Plymouth Argyle away from home.
The Black Cats maintained their good run of form with a 2-0 victory over Argyle at Home Park in League One on Saturday afternoon.
Aiden McGeady was the star of the show for Jack Ross’s side, as the 32-year-old former Celtic and Everton winger scored both the goals.
The Republic of Ireland international winger broke the deadline in the 53rd minute and added a second from the penalty spot on 78 minutes.
Sunderland midfielder Honeyman has thanked the travelling fans for their support against Argyle.

Sunderland future
Honeyman has been linked with a move away from Sunderland in the January transfer window, with The Sun reporting of Sheffield United’s interest in the 24-year-old.
The midfielder’s aforementioned tweet to Sunderland fans underlines his commitment, and perhaps it is a clue that he does not plan to leave the Stadium of Light in the middle of a season where the team are aiming to win automatic promotion to the Championship.
