Sunderland midfielder George Honeyman has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s draw with Walsall.

Jack Ross’s side played out a 2-2 draw with Walsall away from home at the Banks’s Stadium in League One on Saturday afternoon.

The Black Cats went down to 10 men midway through the first half when Max Power was sent off for a challenge on Liam Kinsella.

Walsall went ahead just a minute into the second half through Josh Gordon, and Josh Ginnelly doubled the home team’s advantage minutes later.

Sunderland, though, launched a stunning comeback thereafter, with Aiden McGeady and Lynden Gooch scoring to make it 2-2.

The draw with Walsall means that the Black Cats are now second in the League One table with 37 points from 18 matches, just four points behind leaders Portsmouth.

Sunderland midfielder Honeyman has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the final result.

The 24-year-old has praised his Sunderland teammates for their character and is delighted with the comeback.
