Both Arsenal and Liverpool are aiming to win the Premier League title this season.

Former Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United manager George Graham has suggested to The Times a similarity between Arsenal and Liverpool.

The former Arsenal boss believes that the both the Gunners and the Reds are vulnerable at the back.

“I went to Arsenal v Liverpool on the first day of the season,” Graham wrote in The Times. “Great game to watch, lots of goals [Liverpool won 4-3], exciting for the crowd, but I left that day thinking it was . . . typical Arsenal these days. Lovely attacking football at times, but conceding goals. Liverpool are in the same category.”

Both Arsenal and Liverpool are playing brilliant football this season and are in the running for the Premier League title.

The Gunners are third in the league table at the moment with 23 points from 10 matches, just two points behind leaders Chelsea.

Liverpool are level on points with Arsenal, but a place below them in fourth due to an inferior goal difference.

Defensively Liverpool look vulnerable, and it is an area that could prove to be a problem for Jurgen Klopp’s side as the season progresses.

Arsenal have conceded 10 goals in as many matches in the Premier League so far this season.

The North London outfit also need to improve at the back, but Arsene Wenger’s side have a better defence than Liverpool do.

Liverpool will take on Watford at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, while Arsenal will face North London rivals Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium.
