Middlesbrough won 1-0 against Hull City at the Riverside Stadium.

George Boateng has suggested that the better team won between Middlesbrough and Hull City last night.

Boro ran out 1-0 winners against the Tigers yesterday, with a Gaston Ramirez header proving the difference between the two sides.

And Boateng, who represented both Middlesbrough and Hull during his playing days, believes the right team collected the three points.

Boro were on top for most of the match, with Hull seemingly happy to take a point.

Hull camped out in their own half for much of the encounter, and were fearful of committing too many men forward.

Middlesbrough did struggle to break the Tigers down, but Ramirez finally found a way through Mike Phelan’s side’s defence to provide his side with the three points.

Hull only had one shot on target during the match, as their poor form continued.

Boro have climbed up to 13th place after their victory, while Hull remain in the relegation zone.
