England legend Geoff Hurst believes that Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane is the best in his position in the world right now.

Geoff Hurst has suggested that Tottenham striker Harry Kane is currently the world’s best goalscorer right now after the Spurs star’s stunning start to the season, the Daily Mirror reports.

Kane has been sensational this term, scoring 17 goals in 18 games for club and country. And that is despite failing to find the back of the net during August once again.

His form has helped put Mauricio Pochettino’s men third in the Premier League table and helped them book their tickets to the knockout stages of the Champions League after just four games from a group that included Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.

And Hurst has suggested that Kane ticks all the boxes at the moment, and is, currently, arguably the best striker in the world right now.

“He works up front, he’s aggressive in his all-round play and you couldn’t pick anyone better worldwide. He’s a fantastic player in a very difficult position,” he said, as reported by the Mirror.

“He can score goals from any other position, can use both feet and not many strikers can do that.

“That’s a real bonus and asset for any front players and he scores goals with his head.”

Pochettino will certainly be hoping that Kane hits the ground running following the return of domestic football after the international break as, barring away games against Arsenal and Dortmund, and a trip to Manchester City in mid-December, Tottenham, on paper, have a kind run of fixtures over the Christmas period.

Those three games may probably be the only three that will see Spurs not go in as overwhelming favourites before the FA Cup third round weekend in January, so Pochettino will be hoping that Kane is at his lethal best during the next few weeks to make the most of that run and leave Tottenham in a brilliant position heading into the new year.
