Some Liverpool fans have praised Tyler Morton on Twitter for his goal and performance for the Under-23 side against their Chelsea counterparts.

Morton was in action for the Liverpool Under-23 side against their Chelsea counterparts at Kingsmeadow on Friday evening.

The midfielder scored for the Reds in their 3-2 win against the Blues in the Premier League 2 match.

It was a brilliant goal from the 18-year-old. The teenager picked up a mis-hit clearance by Ethan Wady and guided a delicate lob from 18 yards.

The midfielder had a good game overall in the middle of the park and created a good chance in the second half.

Some Liverpool fans were impressed by the goal and display from Morton and have raved about him on Twitter.

Below are some of the best comments:

One for the future

Morton has been doing well for the Liverpool Under-23 side this season and is progressing well.

Described as ‘an all-action midfielder’ on Liverpool’s official website, the teenager signed a new long-term contract with the Merseyside outfit in January 2021.

It shows how much faith Liverpool have in the youngster, and the fact that he is playing for the Under-23 side at the tender age of 18 underlines his potential.

Liverpool seem to have a gem on their hands in Morton.
