Aston Villa fans have lauded Jacob Ramsey on Twitter after he cheekily nutmegged John McGinn in training on Tuesday.

Footage emerged, as posted by Villa’s official Twitter account, of the 20-year-old outfoxing his more senior teammate during a Rondo session.

The Villa players were in hysterics after the incident, as McGinn tried to claim that the nutmeg wasn’t completed and called for VAR, as he posted on Twitter.

It was pretty clear that McGinn was outdone by the youngster, who has been praised by his own supporters.

The Villa faithful backed Ramsey that he did in fact nutmeg McGinn, despite the Scotman’s pleas.

Even Tyrone Mings, who is currently on holiday after Euro 2020 duty, agreed that Ramsey got the better of the hard-hitting midfielder, as he posted on Twitter.

A big season awaits Ramsey because it seems as though Dean Smith wants him to be part of his long-term plans.

He was used in a sporadic fashion last season, but he didn’t have the desired impact that he would have wanted.

But this is just all part of the process of him working his way up that ladder and showcasing to the world that he is worthy of playing against some of the best.

Here is a selection of Villa fans reacting to Ramsey’s meg on McGinn in training:
