The Stoke City player, has become the most searched for player in the Premier League this season, according to search engine Bing.
Stoke City goalkeeper Shay Given in the most searched for player in the Premier League this season, new statistics from Bing have claimed, according to the Daily Mirror.
The internet search engine has revealed that surprisingly Given has come out on top ahead of players such as Manchester United duo Zlatan Ibrahimović and Paul Pogba, Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero and Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil, who would have been most football fan’s first guesses.

Bing’s data revealed the top five most searched players, which in itself will surprise some fans. Given is in the number one spot with Wayne Rooney, Ibrahimović, Marcus Rashford and Harry Kane making up the rest of the top five.
Strikers would normally top the list according to the Daily Mirror, but whilst four of the top five most searched for players are indeed forwards, the Premier League’s frontmen account for just 33 percent of searches.
Midfielders are next with 31 percent, meaning come defenders and goalkeepers occupy the last two places, which makes Given’s place at the top of the list even more surprising.

Bing also revealed which manager has been the most searched for boss from the Premier League. English football’s top flight is awash with some of the best managers in the world, with the likes of Jurgen Klopp, Arsene Wenger, Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho, yet none of them made the top five.
Instead new Chelsea manager Antonio Conte took the number one spot followed by, Sunderland’s David Moyes, Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe, Hull City’s Mike Phelan and new Everton boss Ronald Koeman.
