Tottenham Hotspur’s prized assets pledging their futures to the club signals a new era for the North London side.

It is exciting times if you are a Tottenham Hotspur right now after Kyle Walker joined the likes of Deli Alli, Danny Rose, Eric Dier, Moussa Dembele, Christian Eriksen and Harry Winks as well as manager Mauricio Pochettino in pledging his long-term future to the club.

After last season’s campaign in which The Lilywhites came so close to capturing the title, the club has moved astutely in securing the services of their prized assets to set themselves up on a platform to build a successful side in the long term.

The likes of Alli, Dier, Eriksen, Dembele, Rose, Walker and Winks all signing up allows the club to have a pull on other stars by showing that these players are buying into what the club are trying to build.

It seems as though the board and Daniel Levy are learning from mistakes that were made in the past, such as letting the likes of Luka Modric and Gareth Bale leave the club, even if they went to one of the most glamorous and decorated clubs in the world in Real Madrid.

This stance in getting their best stars to long-term contracts will allow the club to build to eventually attract even better players. Mauricio Pochettino earlier in the year also pledged his future, signalling that Spurs are a club looking for sustainability on and off the pitch to ensure they can get the best out of the players.

Add this news to the fact they have a new 60,000-plus-seater stadium being currently built, it all shows that this is a club that are on the up and are not happy to settle for just Champions League football. Last season’s charge for the title proved that.
