HITC Sport understands the player will have a number of options to leave Aston Villa
Ross McCormack is prepared to leave Aston Villa this month, and a host of clubs are ready to take the Scottish international, HITC Sport understands.
Reports have emerged that McCormack was unable to attend training last week after gates to his house broke – something which was released to the media by sources close to the club.
McCormack and his representatives have refused to be drawn on the stories, instead trying to concentrate on his future – which now clearly lies away from Villa, having been told by boss Steve Bruce he could leave.
Ross McCormack of Aston Villa
HITC Sport understands that his former club Fulham are interested in taking the 30-year-old front-man, with boss Slavisa Jokoanovic confident he could slip right back into the squad at Craven Cottage.
However, there is interest from a number of other Championship clubs, as well as Burnley and Sunderland in the Premier League.
Championship leaders Brighton & Hove Albion, Derby County, Wolves, Norwich City and Sheffield Wednesday also have an interest in taking McCormack.
