Championship new boys want Grenada international defender
Wycombe’s Aaron Pierre
Burton Albion are lining up a bid for Wycombe Wanders defender Aaron Pierre, HITC Sport understands.
The 23-year-old has emerged as one of the best centre-halves in the lower leagues and Burton are ready to make an offer to Wycombe.
The Chairboys don’t want to lose Pierre, but they know a number of Championship and League One clubs are keeping close tabs on him.

Burton Albion are now ready to make the first move for the Grenada international’s services, and want a deal done before pre-season begins next month.
However, HITC Sport understands that Fleetwood Town – who made a bid for him in January and also Sheffield United are keen – along with Barnsley, who like Burton came up from League One last season.
Pierre, who came through the youth ranks of Fulham and Brentford, joined Wycombe back in 2014 and has 12 months left on his current deal at Adams Park.
