Tottenham Hotspur could be without their first-choice goalkeeper against Southampton.

Tottenham Hotspur face Southampton away on Sunday and they could be without their first-choice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
Lloris is a doubt for the game due to illness, with manager Mauicio Pochettino not certain whether he will be able to call upon the France international, as reported by the London Evening Standard.
If Lloris doesn’t feature then it seems likely that Michel Vorm will be called into action at St Mary’s, but perhaps Pochettino should consider calling upon a former Southampton goalkeeper instead.

Paulo Gazzaniga has made just one appearance since joining Tottenham last summer, but he performed fantastically on that occasion as he kept a clean sheet in the 1-0 victory at home to Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
Gazzaniga commanded his penalty area with authority as he took advantage of the fact that both Lloris and Vorm were unavailable.

Vorm, who has featured in the Champions League, the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup this season, is not a bad goalkeeper, but there is a feeling that Gazzaniga could really impress if given the opportunity, especially when the 26-year-old’s display against Palace is taken into account.
