Celtic and Nottingham Forest have been linked with Lewis Morgan of St. Mirren in the January transfer window.

Nottingham Forest and Preston North End in the Championship in England are also claimed to be interested in the 21-year-old midfielder, who is reportedly valued at £500,000.
Morgan is one of the best young midfielders in Scotland and is a regular for St. Mirren in the Scottish Championship, and his teammate and striker Gavin Reilly has spoken highly of him.

“He is the best player I have ever played with,” Reilly told The Scottish Sun about Morgan. “The pace and quality he has to put balls in the box at such a young age is brilliant.
“He can also take corners with both his left and right foot and credit to him, he is constantly out working and practicing on his weaker side.”
Reilly added: “I am not surprised at all by the interest. I am sure if Celtic are involved there will be a lot of other teams interested as well.”

Morgan is hugely talented and very promising, and the Scotland Under-21 international would be great signing for Celtic in the long run.
However, the youngster has to ask whether he would play for the Hoops regularly if he joins them.
The Hoops have the strongest team in Scotland, and competition for places in Rodgers’s starting lineup is fierce.
A move to Forest or Preston would not be a bad idea for Morgan, as he is likely to get more playing time at the Championship clubs.
