Mikel Arteta has said that there is a feeling of disappointment within the Arsenal dressing room, as they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Man City on Wednesday night.
While the hosts scored a much-deserved equaliser via Bukayo Saka from the penalty spot to cancel out Kevin De Bruyne’s opener, albeit being contentious according to Gary Neville, a poor second half display and individual errors from players like Gabriel Magalhaes cost them the game. Such mistakes may well also be the difference maker in the Premier League title race.
And now, Mikel Arteta has lifted the lid on the down mood in the Arsenal dressing room, as they were beaten comprehensively by Man City at the Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta paints Arsenal dressing room picture after Arsenal lost to Man City
Considering the Gunners were bossing proceedings in the first half, it comes as no surprise that they have their heads in their hands now.

Mikel Arteta said that the Arsenal dressing room was far from happy to say the least, as Man City beat them, as quoted by Manchester Evening News’ Simon Bajkowski, “They’re all feeling down, especially because they knew that we could do much better today to get a different result and we just gave them the game.”
In our view: Mikel Arteta is only partly right in his analysis
Sure, there were avoidable individual errors made from the North Londoners that proved costly.
But ultimately, the Arsenal dressing room should see the players only blame themselves, as Man City dominated the game in the second half and pounced upon the mistakes made by Mikel Arteta and Co.
The London-based side were at home and were playing some extremely liquid football on the night, which is one it still remains a mystery how they let the visitors into the game so easily.
