Tottenham Hotspur can still achieve glory this season.

Tottenham face Ajax in the Champions League on Wednesday night, trailing 1-0 from the first-leg, and they will need a superb performance in order to reach the final of the competition.

Spurs have been on a poor run of form recently, losing eight of their last 15 games in all competitions, but amazingly, they could still end the season as Champions League winners, as unlikely as that may seem at the moment.

And Tottenham legend Gary Stevens took to Twitter, pleading with the clubs fans to be positive.

The defender who spent seven years at Spurs tweeted:

There does seem to have been a fair amount of negativity emanating from the Tottenham fans recently, considering their side’s poor run, but if they beat Ajax in Amsterdam on Wednesday, as difficult as that will be, anything will be possible for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

One thing is for certain, however, Tottenham will need to be on their very best form – something that has proven to be elusive in recent weeks and months.

They will at least have Heung-Min Son back for the game, but whether the Spurs players will be as confident as Stevens remains to be seen.
