Luke Ayling joined Leeds United from Bristol City in the summer of 2016.

Former Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett said on Sky Sports 1 last Friday evening (March 3, 2017) that Leeds United defender Luke Ayling is perfect for the Championship.
Ayling, who can operate as a defender or as a defensive midfielder, joined Leeds from Championship rivals Bristol City in the summer of 2016.
The 25-year-old former Arsenal prospect has established himself as key player for Garry Monk’s side and has been playing well this season.
Former Birmingham manager Rowett has been impressed with the performances of the ex-Yeovil Town man.
“He has been fantastic,” Rowett said about Ayling on Sky Sports 1 last Friday evening (March 3, 2017) in the build-up to the Championship match between Birmingham and Leeds at St. Andrew’s.
“Well, he has not surprised me massively, but I have been surprised in some ways as to how good his performances are.
“We know he is a good player, watched him a lot at Bristol. He is kind of a perfect full-back for the Championship.
“He has got size, he has got height, he has got power, he can mark, but is also comfortable going forward and very athletic.”

Leeds are fourth in the Championship table at the moment with 64 points from 35 matches.
The West Yorkshire outfit are seven points behind second-placed Brighton & Hove Albion and could still make a push for the automatic promotion places.
The Whites will return to action on Tuesday evening when they take on Fulham away from home at Craven Cottage in the Championship.
Leeds will head into the match against the London club on the back of a 3-1 victory over Birmingham away from home at St. Andrew’s in the league.
