Derby County are set to strengthen their attacking line-up further this summer.

Gary Rowett has promised in the Derby Telegraph that Derby County will make another attacking signing this summer.

Derby have lost Will Hughes and Tom Ince, which means they are now on the hunt for an injection of creativity.

Derby have been pushing to sign Leicester City attacker Tom Lawrence recently, according to the Derby Telegraph.

However, getting a deal over the line for Lawrence is proving a difficult task.

Leicester are understood to want a big fee for the former Manchester United man, who impressed on loan at Ipswich Town last season.

And Derby may have to turn their attentions elsewhere, as they look to sign a new number 10.

The Rams are still working on a deal for Lawrence, but even if Derby do not get their first choice transfer target, Rowett insists that attacking players will arrive before the end of the month.

“We will definitely sign another attacking player,” Rowett said.

Derby get their Championship season under way later this evening, when they take on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
