Leeds United have dropped down to fifth place in the Championship table after they suffered a defeat against Milwall on Saturday.

Gary Rowett has suggested that ‘not many officials’ are going to help out Gaetano Berardi given his disciplinary record after Leeds United were beaten 2-1 at Millwall on Saturday.
Stand-in centre-back Berardi was sent off after 14 minutes after referee James Linington adjudged that he fouled Tom Bradshaw in the penalty area.
Jed Wallace did put the spot-kick away, but replays showed that Berardi was perhaps unfortunate because there wasn’t much contact on the player.
Speaking to EFL On Quest (05/10/19 at 9:00 pm), former Derby and Stoke City boss Rowett felt that Berardi was ‘harshly’ treated on the day.
On it being a case of the boy who cried wolf with Berardi given his previous disciplinary record: “I think he is very harshly done by,” Rowett told EFL on Quest. “I think he maybe just fractionally catches Bradshaw’s heel and that then makes Bradshaw catch his own leg. I think it’s that momentum that then takes him over.
“I think he has been harshly done by, but I don’t think many officials are going to help Gaetano Berardi, are they?”

Millwall went into the Championship encounter having seen Neil Harris depart the club after their Wednesday night draw against Luton, but that didn’t affect them.
As for Leeds, they will be very annoyed with the officiating on the day because it means that they head into the international period on a negative note.
When they return, they will host Birmingham City at Elland Road before a trip to Preston, who are in third place and then a match against their former manager Garry Monk, who is now in charge of Sheffield Wednesday.
