Derby County’s Andreas Weimann’s move to Wolverhampton Wanderers has fallen through.
Gary Rowett has admitted to the Birmingham Mail that Andreas Weimann could leave Derby County this summer.
Derby loaned Weimann out to Wolverhampton Wanderers over the back end of last campaign, and he was expected to make a move to Molineux permanent.
However, a managerial change at Wolves saw Weimann miss out on the chance to join Derby’s Midlands rivals.
And there have been suggestions that Weimann could fit in well at Pride Park, now Rowett is in charge.
However, the Rams boss has plunged Weimann’s future into doubt again, with his latest comments.
“Alongside many other players, what I will say with Andi is if at some point somebody else comes in and offers a deal and we feel we can do something different, we are open-minded about all of the players although that doesn’t mean to say we don’t want those players.”
Derby are believed to be open to offers for a number of their players, as they look to raise funds.
The Rams want to make additions this summer, and Rowett knows that he will be allowed to invest money made from transfer sales.
Derby have already completed one signing this summer, bringing in Curtis Davies from Hull City.
