Gary Neville has suggested that he expects Harry Kane to end up in the Europa League next season, seemingly taking a dig at Tottenham Hotspur.
Neville was asked about the Spurs striker in a question and answer session today.
Kane’s future has been heavily speculated about in recent weeks, as Tottenham have slid down the Premier League table.
And Neville has suggested that he can only see Kane playing outside of Europe’s top competition next term.
Kane unquestionably has the ability to play for a Champions League side, but whether he will be able to achieve that next year with Tottenham remains to be seen.
Spurs do still have an outside chance of making it into the top-four, while they remain in with a strong chance of winning the Europa League.
Even if Spurs do fail to make it into the Champions League, there must be doubts over whether any potential suitors will emerge for Kane though.
While there may be interest, the Daily Mail have suggested that Daniel Levy would want £150 million for his star striker, and it is difficult to see any side affording that sort of fee.
