Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes is reportedly wanted by Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

According to The Mirror, Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are interested in signing Andre Gomes from Barcelona on transfer deadline day.
It has been reported that the two London clubs, Tottenham and West Ham, are set to battle over the signature of the midfielder.
Barcelona are reportedly willing to sanction a loan deal for the 24-year-old midfielder, who is claimed to be not in new head coach coach Ernesto Valverde’s plan this season.
The Spanish giants signed Gomes from La Liga rivals Valencia in the summer of 2016 for an initial transfer fee of £29.3 million, as reported by BBC Sport.

The Portugal international midfielder struggled to make an impact at Camp Nou, scoring three goals and providing one assist in 17 La Liga appearances for Barca last season, according to WhoScored.
While West Ham and Tottenham fans will understandably be apprehensive about Gomes given that Barcelona are (reportedly) ready to offload him after just one season, the following comments and tweet from Gary Neville should encourage them.
Manchester United legend Neville worked with Gomes when he was the Valencia head coach from December 2015 until March 2016.

“He strides forward and has a powerful physique, making him a similar player to Frank Lampard or Michael Ballack,” Neville told The Times about Gomes back in July 2016.
“He’s professional, he’s hungry to improve, an intelligent young man who speaks three languages. The day after the 7-0 loss in Barcelona, he insisted on doing extra training.”
