Liverpool have suffered a 3-2 loss at the hands of Premier League rivals United away from home at Old Trafford in the fourth round of the competition.
In what was a very entertaining and engaging game of football, Bruno Fernandes’s goal from a free kick in the 78th minute proved to be decisive.
Former United star Neville has revelled in the Red Devils’ win and Liverpool’s loss on Twitter.
Ex-Liverpool star John Aldridge has also taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the Reds’ loss to United.
Tough period for Liverpool
Liverpool are going through a tough period now. The Reds are not playing their best football and are also conceded far too many goals.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 34 points from 19 matches, as many as six points behind leaders United.
Liverpool are still very much in the running for the league title. After all, the defending champions are only six points off the pace.
The Merseyside club are going though a tough spell, like all teams do at some stage in the season.
