Everton secured Premier League survival on Thursday after a dramatic 3-2 win against Crystal Palace at Goodison Park.
Celebrations went long into the night for the Toffees, and while there was jubilation all-round, one Everton player had a score to settle after the game.
Indeed, Richarlison hit back at Jamie Carragher after the pundit criticised the Brazilian, and it’s fair to say that the attacker didn’t hold back, stating that he has absolutely no respect for Carragher, asking him to wash his mouth before mentioning his name – implying that he has been talking absolute rubbish.
The fact that Richarlison was causing this sort of chaos on Twitter at 1:37AM after helping Everton stay in the Premier League for another season, indicates to us that the Toffees’ squad had some rather enjoyable celebrations to say the least.
As you can imagine, Richarlison’s tweet caused a bit of a stir on social media.
Carragher himself has replied to the message, and he’s been very diplomatic about the matter, stating that he quite likes Richarlison’s defiant approach.
However, Carragher’s Sky Sports partner-in-crime, Gary Neville, has joined in on the Carragher pile-on, jokingly stating that he knows exactly how Richarlison feels towards the pundit.
Richarlison may have taken issue with some of Carragher’s comments, but nobody has more disagreements with the Liverpool legend than Neville.
Unfortunately, it’s probably fair to say that Richarlison won’t be appearing on Monday Night Football with these two anytime soon.
Regardless of how you feel about Richarlison’s tweet, one thing is for sure, the Brazilian has proven Carragher wrong with his contributions to Everton’s dramatic victory against Palace on Thursday.
