Gary Neville felt that Pierre Emile Hojbjerg had an absolute ‘nightmare’ on debut for Tottenham Hotspur, as per his comments on Sky Sports during their live coverage of the game.
Hojbjerg was selected to start for Tottenham against Everton, soon after his moves to the North London club.
However, the former Southampton’s man debut did not go according to plan.
Tottenham were beaten 1-0, and Hojbjerg didn’t manage to have a positive impact.
Other Spurs players may have taken on board more criticism, but Neville felt that Hojbjerg was also ‘quietly’ having a stinker.
And the Sky pundit let rip at the Dane, after Hojbjerg was dispossessed on the edge of his box in the second half.

He said: “Hojbjerg is quietly having a nightmare in this game. He’s trying to control it in his own box and dribble out, and just gets dispossessed.”
There had been great excitement at Tottenham about Hojbjerg’s arrival, so his poor showing on debut has to be a disappointment.
Hojbjerg should improve as he becomes more familiar with his Spurs teammates, but Mourinho’s side already are facing questions after their sluggish start.
Tottenham are next in action in the Premier League when they take on Southampton.
