Both players are currently negotiating new deals at Arsenal.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Gary Neville has told Arsenal to let star men Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez to leave if they continue to refuse to sign new contracts.
Both players are currently into the final 18 months of their contracts at the Emirates and are in negotiations over new deals.
Wages are thought to be the main hold up in the discussions with both men thought to be demanding big pay packets from the Gunners.
Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil
So far an agreement has yet to be reached with either player, sparking fears they both could be set to depart in the summer.
And Neville has told the Gunners to sell if they cannot find a way to get both men to sign on the dotted line.
“You talk about Sanchez and Ozil as though Arsenal is going to end if they leave,” he told Sky Sports.
“Arsenal have had far better players than them over the last 20 years. I wouldn’t worry too much about them holding the club to ransom.”
“Make them an offer and if they don’t stay let them go. Arsenal will still be here in a 100 years’ time.”
Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez
It remains to be seen if Arsenal can get both Ozil and Sanchez to sign new deals before the end of the season.
It appears as if it will cost them a serious amount of money if they wish to do so, something that will be a serious test of the Gunners desire to compete at the top of the table.
Failure to get at least one to agree an extension will see the club’s ambitions challenged by fans and pundits once again.
