Gary Neville has criticised Tottenham Hotspur central defender Eric Dier for his role in one of the goals that his side conceded against Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The former Manchester United defender was on co-commentary duty on Sky Sports Premier League for the Premier League match between Liverpool and Tottenham.
Hosts Liverpool took the lead after just three minutes when Curtis Jones found the back of the net.
The Merseyside club made it 2-0 just two minutes later through Luis Diaz.
And then in the 15th minute, Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah scored from the penalty spot to make it 3-0 to Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Neville was not particularly pleased with Dier for the second goal than Tottenham conceded.
The Sky Sports pundit noted how the £92,000-a-week (SalarySport) England international central defender came out and allowed a one-two to be played.

Neville said in the sixth minute of the match: “I have to say Eric Dier gets out. It’s really poor from him allowing that one-two to go in behind him.”

HITC Verdict: Improvement needed
In our view, Tottenham Hotspur need to improve defensively, and like the rest of his teammates, Eric Dier has to step up his game as well.
Spurs have been really poor defensively and are conceding far too many goals at the moment.
Tottenham interim manager Ryan Mason needs to address this.
And Dier, too, has to cut out the mistakes form his game and has to do better.
