Gary Neville suggested on the Monday Night Football show on Sky Sports Premier League on Monday evening (7:51pm, December 10, 2018) that Barcelona-owned Everton central midfielder Andre Gomes is good enough for Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Chelsea.

Neville worked with Gomes – who joined Everton on loan from Barcelona in the summer transfer window – when he was the manager of Valencia.

The United legend seems to rate the 25-year-old Portugal international highly, and has suggested that he is good enough to play for the Reds, Spurs and Chelsea.

Neville said about Gomes on the Monday Night Football show on Sky Sports Premier League on Monday evening (7:51pm, December 10, 2018): “I think that Everton’s biggest problem is that he is highlighting his quality in Everton’s midfield and they are going to need to try and snap him up.

“I know they are trying to snap him up now because if you are Chelsea, if you are Manchester United, if you are Tottenham you want him in your team.”

Impressive

Gomes struggled to make an impact at Barcelona, which is why the Spanish and European giants decided to send him out on loan in the summer transfer window.

The Portugal international has been very good for Everton so far this season and has established himself as an important player in manager Marco Silva’s team.

It is a bit too early to talk about Gomes making his loan move to the Toffees permanent, though, as he has played just eight times in the Premier League so far this season.

However, if the midfielder continues to play well and his form lasts until the end of the season, then Everton should be serious about making his deal permanent.
