Jorginho is one of the most experienced players in the Arsenal squad, and when he came on as a substitute against Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby, not many expected him to do what he did.
Declan Rice started for Arsenal in the Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium in North London on Sunday.
Rice, who joined Arsenal from London and Premier League rivals West Ham United in the summer transfer window, has been superb for Mikel Arteta’s side so far this season.

So, there was no surprise to see Rice start the North London derby.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, though, decided to take off Rice at half time.
Jorginho makes mistake for Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur
Former Chelsea midfielder Jorginho came on in his place.
And the £110,000-a-week (Spotrac) Italian midfielder made a really bad error.
Soon after Bukayo Saka made it 2-1 to Arsenal from the penalty spot in the second half, Jorginho made a poor judgement and allowed Tottenham to make it 2-2.
Jorginho tried to be too smart with the ball at his feet under no real pressure.
The Italian star saw James Maddison nick the ball off him, and Son Heung-min scored.
It was a really bad mistake.
You would not expect that from a player of Jorginho’s mistake.
In fact, you would not expect any player of Premier League level to make that kind of mistake.
There was no need whatsoever for Jorginho to be too smart and cute with the ball.
Perhaps Jorginho was overconfident.
Criticism for Arsenal midfielder Jorginho
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville was following the match for Sky Sports.
Neville was on co-commentary duty for the match on Sky Sports Football.
And he was shocked to see Jorginho make that mistake.
Neville said (56th minute, 3:17pm): “Jorginho on for Rice. An awful moment for him.
“Probably a minute in between. Just gets caught with the ball. What is he doing? Such experience.”
