Sunderland beat Hull City 2-0 in their most recent outing.
Gary Neville has told Monday Night Football, which was broadcast on Sky Sports on 8th May, that Sunderland’s performance against Hull City was absolutely ridiculous.
Sunderland put in a highly encouraging display at the KC Stadium, to pick up a 2-0 win.
The victory was the Black Cats’ first three point haul for 10 matches, and came at a point when their relegation had been confirmed.

And Neville found it staggering how Sunderland improved their performance, with the pressure off.
“For Sunderland, who expected that result? The apathy of the Sunderland fans must extend greatly after seeing their team go down and then be able to get a win like that,” Neville said. “It’s ridiculous, to be far.”
Sunderland picked up their victory against Hull thanks to goals from Billy Jones and Jermain Defoe.

The Black Cats are still rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table, but the win did at least provide their fans with some much needed cheer.
Sunderland’s win has plunged Hull into relegation trouble, with Marco Silva’s side now looking likely to join them in the Championship.
Sunderland are next in action against Swansea City at the weekend.
