Arsenal beat Tottenham Hotspur 4-2 in the North London Derby yesterday.

Gary Neville explained what really shocked him about Tottenham, during their 4-2 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates yesterday, when speaking exclusively to Sky Sports.

Spurs were nowhere near good enough against the Gunners yesterday, and despite leading at half-time, they never really looked as though they were n control of the contest.

Unai Emery got his team selection, tactics and substitutions spot in, whilst Mauricio Pochettino’s decisions left a lot to be desired.

Arsenal now sit above Tottenham in the Premier League table after 14 games played, and not many would have predicted that at the start of the season.

Spurs were so far off the pace yesterday, especially in the second-half, that it took many people by surprise – none more so than Gary Neville.

He told Sky Sports how he was shocked at the fact that Tottenham were overrun:

“It has shocked me. It has shocked me because Tottenham are a team I really admire and have loved watching over the last two or three years. Today they have been outrun.”

Pochettino’s men will have to bounce back quickly, if they are to put yesterday’s result out of their minds, and next up for them is a home game against Southampton on Wednesday night, followed by a trip to Leicester City on Saturday.

Tottenham will be desperate for six points from those outings, and if they are to do just that, Poch’s players must show a lot more than they did at the Emirates yesterday.
