Arsenal have been criticised for their performances in big games this season.
Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville offered his opinion on the Gunners’ Premier League season so far, and stated that they are exactly where he expected them to be at this stage of their campaign, when speaking on his official Podcast for Sky Sports.
Arsene Wenger’s men have once again flattered to deceive, losing vital games, at crucial times, against their biggest rivals.
They are still, however, sitting in third position in the Premier League table, just nine points adrift of league leaders Chelsea.

And Neville highlighted how Arsenal continue to ‘tease’ everyone with long winning runs, before losing big games, when speaking on his official Podcast for Sky Sports:
“I think Arsenal are where they’d expect to be, where you and I expect them to be. They win, go on long winning runs, and then lose a couple, then win another eight or so, teasing you, thinking that they’re going to be title contenders but never quite getting there.”

Since their back-to-back defeats against Everton and Manchester City respectively, Arsenal have won consecutive games, and now face a run of very winnable fixtures, before they head to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on February 4th.
And the task for the Gunners in 2017 will be to put up more of a fight in the games like their impending clash with the Blues, and maybe then they will be able to mount a more sustained challenge for the title.
