The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has really impressed this season.
Gary Neville suggested that Tottenham ace Harry Winks is a must for the England national team moving forward, when speaking exclusively to Sky Sports.
The 23-year-old midfielder suffered with injuries this season, but he still managed to make 41 appearances in all competitions for Spurs, proving himself to be one of Mauricio Pochettino’s most important players.
Winks seems to possesses certain attributes that England really lack in the middle of the park, and Gareth Southgate’s side look like a totally different team when the Tottenham man is playing.
And Neville explained why the Spurs ace is so important to the Three Lions, highlighting his performance in the Champions League final as evidence of his undeniable quality, when speaking exclusively to Sky Sports:
“Gareth doesn’t have the players at his disposal. Harry Winks is a must moving forward; he was outstanding in the Champions League final, and looked a different level.”
If Winks, who earns £50,000 per week according to Spotrac, can maintain his fitness over the next few years, he will undoubtedly be a really important player for both Tottenham and England.
He is a real talent, and his ability on the ball offers both his club and country something that they otherwise do not possess.
Winks is also just 23-years-old, so Tottenham and England fans should look forward to seeing him playing at the highest level for at least another decade.
