Tottenham lost at Wembley against Manchester United.
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer guided the Red Devils to a statement win away to Tottenham.
David de Gea’s saves deflected how good United were for the first hour, before Tottenham got back into the game and put the away side under pressure.
In the end Marcus Rashford’s goal was enough to give United a 1-0 win.
Former United captain Gary Neville says United identified a weakness in Tottenham’s defending that Liverpool previously exposed.
Liverpool beat Tottenham 2-1 at Wembley earlier in the season and Neville believes Solskjaer took note of how they did it.
Neville told SkySports: “It reminded me so much of the Liverpool game earlier in the season at Wembley when Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane got in down the sides of the Tottenham centre-backs.
“It looked to me like Solskjaer had watched that game and thought that’s where I can hurt them. It was clever.”
This was Solskjaer’s biggest test as United boss so far and the Red Devils have won six out of six games.
The Norwegian is still only officially the club’s caretaker boss, with a decision on Jose Mourinho’s successor set to take place at the end of the season.
He is doing his own chances no harm at all so far.
