Gary Neville has told Monday Night Football, which was broadcast on Sky Sports, that he thinks Arsenal full-back Sead Kolasinac was never good enough for them.
Arsenal opted to loan out Kolasinac this month, as Mikel Arteta looked to clear his fringe players out.
And Neville thinks that Kieran Tierney has proved to be a major upgrade on the Bosnian at left-back, who is on a £100,000-a-week deal (Spotrac).
“I really like him [Tierney], I think they trust him,” Neville said. “He gives his all. Kolasinac was playing there who was nowhere near at the level Arsenal need.
“He’s a brilliant threat going forward, but he can defend, pass and do most things you want from a modern day full-back.”
Kolasinac has actually made a bright start at Schalke since leaving Arsenal on loan, but it does seem that the experienced full-back’s time at the Emirates Stadium is coming to an end.

Even if Kolasinac does impress on his loan spell it will be highly unlikely that he plays for Arsenal again.
Tierney, meanwhile, continues to impress in a Gunners’ shirt, with the Scot now one of the first names on Arteta’s side’s teamsheet.
Tierney helped Arsenal pick up a 3-0 win last night, as he started in their victory over Newcastle United.
