Gary Neville has noted that Tottenham Hotspur left-back Destiny Udogie did not have the best of times in the first half of the North London derby against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Destiny Udogie started for Tottenham Hotspur against Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.
Udogie started at left-back.
The 20-year-old has been playing well for Spurs this season, and there was no surprise when Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou decided to include the Italian left-back in the starting lineup against Arsenal.
Udogie really struggled.
Criticism for Tottenham Hotspur left-back Destiny Udogie vs Arsenal
Arsenal have some quality attacking players, including Bukayo Saka.
The England international winger caused Udogie all sorts of problems in the first half with his pace and direct running.

In the 15th minute, Udogie played a poor back pass when under pressure, and Eddie Nketiah almost scored.
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville was following the match for Sky Sports.
Neville was the co-commentator for the game.
And he noted that Udogie really struggled in the first half.
Neville said in the 15th minute (Sky Sports Football, 2:15 pm, September 24, 2023): “It’s getting a bit too much for the Spurs left-back. Aimless pass.”
Destiny Udogie will get better
In our view, Destiny Udogie will get better and learn from his experience in the North London derby.
Arsenal are one of the best teams in the Premier League.
It is not easy to play in defence against the current Arsenal attacking unit, especially at the Emirates Stadium.
We should not forget that Udogie is only 20.
In the first half against Arsenal, the Tottenham left-back had a pass accuracy of 85.7%, took 28 touches, attempted one dribble, and made five tackles and two clearances.
