Gary Neville praised Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford on Sky Sports Premier League (10:04pm, April 19, 2021) following the match against Liverpool at Elland Road.

Bamford was in action for Leeds in their Premier League game against Liverpool at Elland Road on Monday evening.

The 27-year-old former Chelsea and Nottingham Forest striker did not score in the game which ended in a 1-1 draw, but that did not stop former Manchester United defender Neville from singing his praises.

Neville said about Bamford on Sky Sports Premier League (10:04pm, April 19, 2021): “He is brilliant on the pitch in terms of his work ethic.

“Leeds were wearing Liverpool down towards the end. Liverpool were better in the first half, they were really good.

“In the second half, though, Leeds got stronger and stronger, and he is leading from the front, he is running, the way in which he closes people down, they outrun every single team they play.”

Big player for Leeds United

Bamford is one of the best players at Leeds and has been banging in the goals for fun this season.

According to WhoScored, the Englishman has scored 14 goals and provided seven assists in 32 Premier League games for the Whites this campaign.

Bamford has a goal conversion rate of 17% and a shot conversion rate of 49%, according to BBC Sport.

The 27-year-old words hard for the team, leads from the front, and does defensive work, and he deserves all the praise that he is getting.

As for Leeds, they are having a wonderful season and could finish in the Premier League top 10.
